Goodwin Library Receives IMLS ARPA Grant

The Goodwin Library is the recipient of $1759 in grant funding thanks to federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the New Hampshire State Library. The grant funds received will support the Goodwin Library’s efforts to foster digital literacy and become sensory inclusive.

Using these grant funds, the library has purchased Launchpads for our Children’s Room, and items to create a sensory friendly environment, including dimming light covers, special cushions for story times, and noise cancelling headphones for those who may need them. Library staff will also attend a training on working with individuals with autism and sensory needs.

Those interested in accessing or learning more about the library’s Launchpad collection or sensory friendly initiative services should call and speak with a librarian at 603-755-2944, email kmorin@goodwinlibrary.org, or visit the library at 422 Main St., Farmington, NH.
