Our Summer Reading Programs for all ages have begun!! You can sign up at any time between now and August 2nd.
Children sign up at the desk in the Children’s Room downstairs. Teens and adults sign up at the main desk upstairs.

WEEK 1: June 16 – June 21




Monday, June 16 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Bring a blanket and join us for story time on the lawn! This story time program is geared towards ages 0-6.
Tuesday, June 17 @ 5:30pm: Official Kickoff Ice Cream Party!! The official start of Children’s Summer Reading (though all ages are welcome!) Join us in the Community Room to sign up for the Summer Reading Program and enjoy an ice cream sundae!
Friday, June 20 @ 3:00pm: Board Game Club – Drop into the Children’s Room to play any of the board games in our ample collection! Play an old favorite, or even learn a new game. Ideal for grades 2+. We have games for all ages!
Saturday, June 21 all day: Lego Saturday – Free build with our big Lego collection! This weekly program continues all year round.
Week 2: June 23 – June 28






Monday, June 23 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Bring a blanket and join us for story time on the lawn! This story time program is geared towards ages 0-6.
Tuesday, June 24 ↓↓
@ 4:00pm, for Teens & Tweens: Make a pizza! – Socialize with other tweens/teens and make your very own pizza! This program is for tweens and teens age 10+.
@ 6:00pm, for adults: Bookies Book Club – Discuss Celtic Mythology with the Goodwin Library’s book club! We have a variety of different books about Celtic Mythology available for checkout. This program can be attended in-person or on Zoom – please email Amy at acornwell@goodwinlibrary.org if you would like the Zoom link. New members are always welcome!
Thursday, June 26 @ 3:00pm: Kaleidoscope STEAM Craft – Make your own kaleidoscope! Ideal for ages 7+.
Friday, June 27 @ 10:30am: Field Trip Friday! Butternut Farm – Meet us at Butternut Farm, to pick berries! This program costs $5 per child, payable to Butternut Farm the date of the trip. Please register for this program here. Please fill out one form per child.
Saturday, June 28 all day: Lego Saturday – Free build with our big Lego collection! This weekly program continues all year round.

Monday, June 30 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Join us for stories, songs, and play! This story time is geared towards ages 0-6.
Tuesday, July 1 @ 5:30pm: S’morey Time – Join us for a camping-themed story time with s’mores!
Friday, July 4: CLOSED in observance of Independence Day
Saturday, July 6 all day: Lego Saturday – Free build with our big Lego collection! This weekly program continues all year round.

Monday, July 7 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Join us for stories, songs, and play! This story time is geared towards ages 0-6.

@4:00pm, for tweens: Mini Art – Paint mini art canvases! This program is for ages 10+.
@ 5:30pm, for adults: Decorate a Trinket Box – Get artsy by painting and decorating a cool trinket box to stash your treasures in.
Wednesday, July 9 @ 6:00pm: Family Night in the Park, Featuring Mr. Aaron! We’re partnering with the Rec Department to bring four weeks of family fun to Fernald Park – pack a picnic dinner and join us for these free family friendly performances! Fernald Park is located at the intersection of Central St. and Tappan St., across the road from St. Peter’s Church.
Thursday, July 10 @ 3:00pm: S.T.E.A.M. Art bot – Make an art bot, which is a robot that can color! Ideal for ages 7+.
Friday, July 11 @ 10:30am: Story Trail (Field Trip Friday) – Meet us at the Farmington Story Trail to read I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More! By Karen Beaumont. The Farmington Story Trail is located next to the Public Safety Building at 160 NH-153.
Saturday, July 12 all day: Lego Saturday – Free build with our big Lego collection! This weekly program continues all year round.
Week 5: July 14 – July 19







Monday, July 14 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Join us for stories, songs, and play! This story time is geared towards ages 0-6.

@ 3:00, for kids: Watercolors for Kids – Learn to paint with watercolors! This month we’ll be painting donuts. Open to ages 6-10. Please register.
@ 6:00, for adults: The Bookies – The Bookies is Goodwin Library’s book club! This month, join us to discuss Peace Like A River by Leif Enger. We have multiple copies available for checkout, so come by to pick one up! This group can be attended both in-person or online – please email Joyce at jwhite@goodwinlibrary.org if you would like the Zoom link!
Wednesday, July 16 @ 6:00pm: Family Night in the Park, Featuring Lindsay and her Puppet Pals! We’re partnering with the Rec Department to bring four weeks of family fun to Fernald Park – pack a picnic dinner and join us for these free family friendly performances! Thursday, July 17 @ at 3:00pm: S.T.E.A.M. Pet Rocks – The last pet rock painting program was a blast, so we’re doing it again! Join us to create your own pet rock. For ages 7+.
Friday, July 18 @ 10:30am: Fernald Park (Field Trip Friday) – Meet us at Fernald Park for a playground play date!
Saturday, July 19 @ 11:00am: Family Movie Matinee – Minecraft Movie! Bring the whole family to enjoy some popcorn and a family friendly movie! This month we are showing the Minecraft Movie. Rating: PG. Run Time: 1 hr., 41 min.
Week 6: July 21 – July 26





Monday, July 21 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Join us for stories, songs, and play! This story time is geared towards ages 0-6.
Tuesday, July 22 @ 5:00pm: Messy Art Night! Prepare to get super messy at our annual Messy Art Night! Try out flyswatter painting, slime sun catchers, and more messy activities! Remember to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on.
Wednesday, July 23 @ 6:00pm: Family Night in the Park, Featuring Magic Fred! We’re partnering with the Rec Department to bring four weeks of family fun to Fernald Park – pack a picnic dinner and join us for these free family friendly performances! Fernald Park is located at the intersection of Central St. and Tappan St., across the road from St. Peter’s Church.
Thursday, July 24 @ 3:00pm: S.T.E.A.M. – Legos! Get a bonus Lego day! We also have Duplos for little ones.
Friday, July 25 @ 10:30am: French Conservation Trail (Field Trip Friday) – Meet us at the French Conservation Trail for a family friendly hike with the Conservation Commission! The trail is located at 30 Hornetown Road in Farmington.
Saturday, July 26 all day: Lego Saturday – Free build with our big Lego collection! This weekly program continues all year round.

Monday, July 28 @ 10:30am: Story Time – Join us for stories, songs, and play! This story time is geared towards ages 0-6.
Wednesday, July 30 @ 6:00pm: Family Night in the Park – Foam Party! Bring a towel and dry clothes! During this event, kids can run, dance, and play in a sea of bubbly foam. We’re partnering with the Rec Department to bring four weeks of family fun to Fernald Park – pack a picnic dinner and join us for these free family friendly events! Fernald Park is located at the intersection of Central St. and Tappan St., across the road from St. Peter’s Church.
Saturday, August 2 all day: Lego Saturday – Free build with our big Lego collection! This weekly program continues all year round. This is also the LAST DAY to log books for Summer Reading!!
