The Goodwin Library is a public library that serves as an information center for the personal, cultural, and social growth for the community of Farmington.  The Library maintains collections and implements programs that address the community’s changing informational and recreational needs for education and literacy.  The collections, materials, and programs are offered in a variety of formats to ensure equitable access for all.  The Library believes that free and open access to information and resources will establish the framework for an informed and involved community.

Cardboard Construction Crafts – Tuesday, 12/30 from 3:00pm-5:00pm
Come craft with cardboard!
Build anything you can imagine! Make your own creations or add to our box fort.
All supplies are provided.
New Year’s Closing – Thursday, 1/1/25
The library will be closed on Thursday, January 1st, in observance of New Year’s Day.

Lego Saturdays! Every Saturday, from 10:00am to 1:30pm
Play with the library’s Lego collection!
Drop by to free build with Legos and see what you can create.

From November 6 until the first week of April, our hours will look like this:

Tuesday: 1:00pm–7:00pm
Thursday: 11:00am–5:00pm
Friday: 10:00am–5:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am–2:00pm

New Story Trail Book!
Walk along the Story Trail to read Winter Dance by Marion Dane Bauer!
Thank you to the Walpole Library for allowing us to borrow this story for our trail! This story will be up through February.
The Story Trail is located at the McCarthy Trail, next to the Public Safety Complex at 160 NH-153.
We are currently seeking donations for the 2026 Story Trail Season!

We Have a Little Free Library!
Take a book, leave a book!
There are all kinds of books in our little free library! The top shelf has children’s books, the bottom shelf has adult books. Stop by and check it out – it’s right outside our front door!
Please keep in mind that the Little Free Library is not a book return for library books! The book return is behind the building.
Accessible Entrance
The library’s Accessible entrance is located at the rear of the library, off the bank parking lot.
The accessible entrance has a button control that opens and holds the door automatically.
The elevator is just inside the door to the left.
