The Goodwin Library is a public library that serves as an information center for the personal, cultural, and social growth for the community of Farmington. The Library maintains collections and implements programs that address the community’s changing informational and recreational needs for education and literacy. The collections, materials, and programs are offered in a variety of formats to ensure equitable access for all. The Library believes that free and open access to information and resources will establish the framework for an informed and involved community.

The Bookies – Tuesday, 5/19 at 6:00pm, In-Person and on Zoom
The Bookies is the Goodwin Library’s book club! Join us in May to discuss The Dream Hotel by Laila Lalami.
We always have multiple copies of the book available for checkout—stop by to pick one up! New members are always welcome.

Coming June 2nd: Presentation on Lyme & Tick-Borne Diseases
Join us on Tuesday, June 2nd at 5:30pm to learn about Lyme disease and its impacts on our health.
Kathie Fife is a Lyme and tick-borne disease ecologist. Kathie shares her knowledge and experiences to encourage citizens to advocate and empower themselves with knowledge, and to understand the important connection with land use management, predators, plants, and wildlife behavior for healthy ecosystems, including human health.
This program is free and open to the public!

Our Hours Have Changed!
The library’s Thursday hours will be 1:00pm-7:00pm until fall.
Thursday is the only day that will be changing. From April through November, our hours will be as follows:
Monday: 10:00-5:00
Tuesday: 1:00-7:00
Thursday: 1:00-7:00
Friday: 10:00-5:00
Saturday: 10:00-2:00
Wed/Sun: CLOSED

We Have a Little Free Library!
Take a book, leave a book!
There are all kinds of books in our little free library! The top shelf has children’s books, the bottom shelf has adult books. Stop by and check it out – it’s right outside our front door!
Please keep in mind that the Little Free Library is not a book return for library books! The book return is behind the building.
Accessible Entrance
The library’s Accessible entrance is located at the rear of the library, off the bank parking lot.
The accessible entrance has a button control that opens and holds the door automatically.
The elevator is just inside the door to the left.
