What is Summer Reading?
The Summer Reading Program is a reading challenge for all ages where participants can win prizes for reading books!
The children’s summer reading program is for ages 12 and under. Signups generally begin around the time school gets out for the summer.
The teen program is for ages 13 to 17, and the adult program is for ages 18 and older. Signups for both programs start in early June at the adult floor circulation desk.
All programs end in early August. Specific dates are always posted on our website and social media pages in late May.
What are the prizes?
The main prize is raffle tickets. Participants earn raffle tickets that can be put towards gift card prizes of their choice! Gift cards are for local stores, restaurants, and attractions. Participants can also earn free books.
